FAQ

Dear Marianne:

We have tons of toys in our house. How can I organize them so my kids get the most play value from them?

Erin, Pittsburgh, Mom of Katie (9), Lizzie (8) Mary (6) Ben and Jacob (4)
The best way to get the most play value is to organize them so that they ARE played with. For example, board games are fun but you really need to have them in sight as a reminder to play oftern. Stack boxes by age groups on a shelf in a room that will encourage social play. Consider the kitchen and family room. Keep them in the box and neatly tape all 4 corners on both the top and bottom of the box. This will help to reinforce the box after multiple uses.

Juvenile Gear

All of our juvenile gear reviews are categorized by the "TTT" mark of excellence. This means each met our criteria of durability, ease of use, sensibility and value.  Each was tested by the intended user.

If a parent product is intended for use by a parent, it is tested by 3 different kinds of parents... a mom parent, a dad parent and a grandparent parent.
If a product is intended for use by a caregiver (nanny, day care teacher, grandparent, etc.. ) we test a parent AND a caregiver.
If a product is intended to be used with a sibling, we test with a parent AND a sibling.
If a product is meant for home use, it is tested at home.
If a product is meant for travel, it is tested in that way.

After testing, all products are donated to children and families in need through a variety of donation programs we have in place with not-for-profit charity groups.
