After you select your baby's crib, it is important to choose a safe mattress. Based on our evaluation of other mattresses we reviewed, this mattress has been made with a lot of thought put into it! Completely antimicrobial both inside and outside to prevent bacteria from growing, it features welded seams with no needle holes in the cover which prevents dust mites and germs from seeping in. The top is supple so a mattress pad-another host to bacteria- is not needed. To stop sheets from slipping, the edges are square. This also makes it more difficult for a child to pull on the sheets which could be a safety hazard while sleeping. It is waterproof, flame resistant and the woven four-way stretch ticking resists cracking. It is easily cleaned with a damp sponge. NOTE: This mattress has a lifetime warranty and custom and round sizes are also available. TIP: Always place an infant in the center of a mattress where the ventilation is best for sleeping.
